No, it doesn't cause a power loss that I am aware of (but that just may mean I'm not aware of it), however, what it can do if you turn the sampling rate up, the logging can cause the CPU in the ESC to overload, and cause the ESC to lose synchronization of the commutation with the motor, causing a knocking sound, which might, if bad enough, possibly cause some loss of power...but only if the logging is set to high...I set it for one or two samples per second..

I just replaced the hs-225mg servos I had in this plane with some Spektrum A5040 servos. Boy are they awesome! They sound great and are fast! And now I can take advantage of the 11ms mode of my dx8 with these digital servos!

One step closer to flying again!

What servo arms did you use with those servos?

Video of my 58" Edge.

Motrofly 4315-714 on 4s.

The 58edge to ne is easier to harrier than the mxs and is more violent. The 58 edge is freakin awesome.

Now I want both a 58" Edge and a 64" MXS! But if I can have only one, do I get the 58" Edge or the 64" MXS? l'm told that the 58" Edge has rudder and elevator authority as good as that of the MXS.

What is your experience with the flight envelopes of the two planes?

The only way I could answer this is to ask another question....do you care much about precision flying? The MXS does it pretty well; Edge's are notorious for being a bit less 'precise'. I can attest to the pitch rate of the edge, and I think it's close to the MXS, but not better than the MXS. If it's hard core 3D only...either one is a winner for you. If it's precision- my preference would be to look at the MXS, for that small edge in it's airframe DNA.

Just my $.02

I own one of these, but have flown both....I am happy with how this flies, but have only flown it once or twice...

[QUOTE=wamsy55;23559914]Not sure of length as of right now. I will check sometime today. .

Hey wamsy, did you manage to get a chance to look at what length spacers you needed on the motrofly?

The idea that edges are not precise is a little too general. The only thing that modern airframe edges seem to not do as well as an extra are snaps. This is due to the wing. Another thing that some edges tend to do is roll out of heavy elevator moves like a wall. That said much of that has to do with using a little too much throw. If guys reduce their throw a little bit or have a middle rate for elevator this can be reduced. As far as being able to perform big smooth maneuvers, on low rates, this plane will keep up with my slick 1 for 1 and nearly as good as my big gassers.

hows the centering on them? seem to be very close spec wise (although not identical) to the savox 1250mg, but less than half the cost. would be a great budget option if they center well. also, are you running them on 6v?
