Also, there are washers that are in the landing gear bag. What are those used for?

Two more questions,

1. 3DHS was selling props for $3 at the show today, so I was looking for a xoar 15x8 or 15x7 for this plane, but all I could find was a 15x6. So being that they were only $3, I bought it. How do you think it will work with a motrolfly 4315-480?

2. For the motrolfly 4315, what mount should I go with again? I'm not sure. The fiberglass lightweight mount or the regular mount?

Yes.....

I don't have that motor, but I would say start with the 15X8 and check the motor temp. If too warm, drop down to the 15X7...

Gotcha. So the fiberglass x mount wont be too light? I might just wait until people balance this plane with the 4315 and 2200mah batteries to see what to buy.

Actually you are correct, I forgot about the balance issues with this plane...so...OK...aluminum mount then...

And no offense taken...when I'm wrong, I'll admit it (and I was)....was just trying to help..

The thing is...(and I have one of these planes)...the nose weight issue was based on the smaller 3620 motor, not the 4315. I bought the 4315-480 with the fiberglass mount which I felt was a good compromise between more weight in the motor but not too much weight. I'm also going to mount the motor as far forward as possible, leaving just enough room for overlap on the cowl. I was supposed to have this all done by now, but a last minute business trip out of town and two dishwasher installations (actually, an installation, a de-installation, and a new installation; and now, the new dishwasher is leaking - but not from the water inlet) have hacked away at my workshop time. So anyway, I'm going to log off this forum and get down to the workshop and do some building so I can answer that question directly. I think the 4315 with the fiberglass mount is going to be a good setup; I'll let you know asap. I'm also using 2x3s2800's for batteries.

Sorry for all the questions, but..

1. Will a 60a esc be enough for the 4315 on 6s?

2. Does the ZTW 6a external bec give you 6v? The 3a one does.
