That's frickin' creepy to have the military standing there...with masks on at an RC flying site.

Viva Sinaloa!

Being in the news so much, it's easy to forget that life in many parts of Mexico continues unaffected. Last August, despite US travel advisories, I drove down to visit relatives in Ensenada and the only danger I faced was the traffic in downtown Tiajuana! Mexico is a lovely country...I worked in Guadalajara for two years.

Thermaline… In this video, we are flying in a field that is almost half the territory of a drug dealers war… If you watch the video, there appears a platoon of soldiers who are caring… And you're worried that we are “Taxiiing out between people with their backs turned”… jajajaj…Are you kidding?

This was an event, of several that has organized the “Club R/C Bitaches de Culiacán”, to support a city program called “RESCATEMOS ALTATA” ("RESCUED Altata")… Altata is a small fishing village and tourist near the City of Culiacán, where people normally go on weekends… Unfortunately Altata is located in an area where there was a war of drug dealer (Narcos), causing the village to come down ... Fortunately, the problem has been solved in part, with support from the government and citizens from the city of Culiacán ... But people are still afraid to visit the place ... That was why we are doing these events, to tell people not be afraid, the area is properly controlled and PROTECTED, and keep visiting the town of Altata ... It's a way to defend ourselves!... It's a way to fight this cancer called drug traffic… SALUDOS
