little paint made a lot of difference recognition wise. I blacked out portions on the fuselage sides, much easier to track while rolling, still managed to dork it in.

Its a great concept and I did something along these lines about 8 years ago. Albeit then I was using a GWS ICS300 power system Nicads and a Ally stick fuselage from a Slow stick. Rolls were stunningly axial but I also killed mine not knowing which was was up down or side on. We discussed how we could use on as an F3P model recently but realise presentation of what was straight and level to the pilot meant that manoeuvres would be very difficult to fly precisely despite the accuracy of the model. Excellent work and have fun

I like the "X" design better than the "+" design.

Finally got around to making a full size (35in diagonal span) version with original profiles. Took some inspiration from the angular look of the Krill Thunder 3D. Hope to have it flying this weekend.

Got the big brother in the air, the garage was particularly cold so I was having a bit of trouble getting it to trim with sagging pull-pull lines:

Xperiment prototype (3 min 20 sec)

Came out right at 6.5oz. This is unmilled with regular Depron and HS-45 were the only servos I had on hand, so there is an easy ounce that can be take out. Speed is very good for the weight, and I think I got the tail surface sizing right on. The little guy didn't quite have enough pitch authority. I think the ailerons might be a bit over sized, but in general I like the way it flies.

Going to take another turn at it with smaller ailerons and revised linkages, then I'll start cutting for those who are interested.

looks good dude

try landing it on the tail, or changing tail to allow for that (however, changing the tail could f up the flight characteristics - stil - would look cool landing like that)
