Something different.

This is for all the foamy lovers, my latest project. The largest and the lightest jet turbine powered foamy of my own design. This build is based on my smaller EDF version prototype to make sure everything will work. Can't wait to spool it up, Joe.

What do you estimate your flight time to be?

Total fuel cap. is 2.25 liter giving me 6-7min with some 450ml of kero left in main and full header tank, based on my 9.5kg "A-10X" model with the same set up. I expect this model to be aprx. 1/2 the wing loading of A-10X having lot larger wing area so possibly might get up to 8-10min., but first I have to maiden it, so only god knows what will happen, Joe.

Joe, I love that you are doing something different! That is one bad-A plane. Did you just wing it on the design or is there a plan that you are going to post? I'm very curious as to how you reinforced to take the stresses and how this thing deals with the heat of the turbine?

Pencil, ruler and the sketch sheet is my plan for any foamy I build. I like each model to be different to make it more of a challenge and the great learning curve, Joe.

I agree Joe, different and unique is the fun stuff. I really don't like hopping on a popular design. I may build certain planes that are popular at the moment, but usually only because they were a plane I was going to do anyway. My hats off to you sir on this one!
