Hello guys,

here are some of my flying wings. At first a model which i had built last year. His name is "Thermikbrett".

And the second, which I'm building is a Horten XII. This was a project of the IG-Horten, which do not exist anymore.

Best regards

Maxi

This isn't mine, and although it was quite a while ago, this is one of the most impressive flying wing sailplanes that I have ever flown.

Gene Dees is a great artist, humorist and writer, so this post includes his article on the design, building and flying of the model. This was published in SoarTech 7 - the flying wing edition. http://soartech-aero.com/SoarTech-Online.htm

Tinamou

It's quite fitting that I post here after HerkS as I couldn't have built and designed this model without his help.

Here is Tinamou.

There are two articles I wrote about Tinamou for RCSD available here:
http://tailwindgliders.com/Files.html#Articles
-Tinamou Flying Wing
-Table Top: A Montana Slope Soaring Adventure

Free plans are available upon request.

After numerous requests I've been persuaded to post a pic or two of my retired Komet.
1m ish span, wood and tissue, painted with household emulsion and a coat of mat varnish.
The ariel hides a collar clamped to a J shaped piano wire hooked onto the spar to hold the front half of the top section on.The canopy was pulled plug inside a bottle style, framed in 1/64 ply.
The pointy bit used to be a tad sharper than it is now,no prizes for guessing what happened there.
The rudder was a mod, just to see if I could do it with a torque arm;flew quite well without it.

Here is my Horten Ho229 filmed in Germany at a meeting in Porz. The Horten weighs 19 Kg and is 3.25m wingspan.

Horten Ho229 powered by 2 MW44 turbine engines (6 min 1 sec)

I have made lots of models over the years mostly tailless, but with fins and rudders. I cannot resist posting video of the latest the Arado 555
It has fins and rudders and is does not strictly fit the forum description

arado 555 video 2.m4v (8 min 1 sec)

This plane weighs 35.5Kg and is powered by 6 small turbines I have made each with 3.2Kg thrust

John,

In the Ho229 video the wing started to flutter at 2:47. I don't speak German so I don't know what the announcer was saying. Was the wing flutter part of the flight plan or a surprise?
