Hey Mac....

Ah the brick.
I got tired of people always complaining that if they did this or that to their EZ or their Super Cub that it would fly like a "brick". Like a small weight increase will cause the aircraft to be almost un flyable and then compare it to something that couldn't fly, such as a brick.
Well, I happen to like bricks and took it personal. So, I decided to, at least in their minds, make a brick fly.

Flying Brick, Reloaded. (2 min 41 sec)

Good grief, or should I say 'far out, man!'. With the music on that vid I started having flashbacks! Time for a little nip of corn squeezins to keep the world in kilter.

I know ya'll are worried I am coming out of the closet- but I just want to see the darn plane -at any height- I know people say Black strips or just black-but let me tell you guys the fluorescent pink on my radian is so much easier to see at 1500 feet than Eckace's Black and white stripes- so far its the best I have seen for spot-ability- and as far as flamboyance- the girls will love it. I will have them model it when I am finished...

And Gene- awesome wiener dog rodeo footage....

1500 feet huh. Maybe I need to contact some agency about someone exceeding the 400 ft height limit while flying an RC device.

Of course if it is pink I don't think they will want to touch that one.

Gene,

I got my S107G micro heli and S109 gunship from Amazon.com. Both fly great but don't fly them in front of Plasma TV. The infrared controller gets confused and the helicopters fall out of the sky. Beyond that they are great.

The bassett hound doesn't care, but the old calico cat disappears for hours when I start flying.

as far as I know, the only laws in Iowa are within 5 miles of an airport- The 400 ft is an AMA thing- and every glider pilot I ever heard of breaks 1000 ft regularly-

we stay out of flight patterns and keep it safe- I have had kites up to 5000 ft-

Have you never busted through 400 ft in your easy- cuz i know I have made 1000 ft.. I am a bad boy

I laugh when I read a post about someone complaining about how it's too much trouble to cut ailerons, add flaps or install a brushless motor in their plane. Like it's too much work.
This is a bit of what I do. I work at a Toyota dealership as a tech. I usually work on electrical and Hybrid problems but do basically anything that is required. We are slow this time of year and Toyota always has some kind of recall going on. One such recall is on 2000-2004? Tundra trucks for frame rust. If the truck has a rust hole in the frame you get a new frame. How cool is that? Since I have a 2000 Tundra I put it up and low and behold, I had a 10mm rust hole starting in the back frame horn. I get a new frame with any accessories that may break on there removal for free.......and not just free.....I get paid to do it.

Anyway, started the frame job today and thought I post some pics. Not something most people see everyday.
Gene

I own a 2003 Tundra express cab. Is there a specific area that the rust holes form and can it be detected without dismantling the darn thing?

Uhhh well yeah I have exceeded the 400 mark a few times.

I was just kidding you about the height limitation when you mentioned your Radian. My friend has one of them and he usually puts it in the 900 ft mark a lot.

Always LOS and safe though.

Hey Vince,
No specific area. You can see 95% of the frame from from under the truck. Craw under or put it on a lift.
I believe the recall to inspect is only for the northern states in the heavy snow/ice belt. Toyota blames road salt for the issue along with the frames manufacturer not producing them to Toyota's specs.
They do recalls in phases. Notices are mailed to owners. I bet after the northern states are done they extended it to the south also.

Can we bribe your wife to get you more beer then take away the crutches (and computer) and then come back in a month to get you?
