Can anyone tell me what Japanese mode, American mode and Chinese mode is?
I imagine American mode is mode 2 although the Americans fly mode 1 as well.
I fly mode 2, that is throttle left and collective right. i WILL crash with any other TX setup.
That is the only bit of the Rabbit.doc(so far) that causes me any confusion.

I have just checked the user manual and it seems that the Rabbit Fc has to be connected when you get a com port choice.

to quote from the user manual:-

connect the flight control board to a computer with mini USB line, this will automatically power the flight control board, the light on the board will be on rolling light state, the computer will prompt that there is a new USB equipment, and automatically install the driver, when the system prompts that the new USB equipment which is available, see which serial port the new USB equipment CH340 map into on the system management interface port display, the default is ( COM3 ), then you can open the setting tool sofeware,

Note the last and next to last line:-

then you can open the setting tool sofeware,

I think sofeware(love that typo) wont work without FC being connected

There are different modes for the pilots,Chinese are used to using Model 1 (Chinese Mode),American are used to using Model 2 (American Mode),sometimes they also use different model as they like,

1.Japanese Mode: Operating elevator and rudder by the left hand, throttle and aileron by the right hand.

2.American Mode: Operating throttle and rudder by the left hand, elevator and aileron by the right hand.

3.Japanese Mode: Operating elevator and aileron by the left hand, throttle and rudder by the right hand.

Tri-Quad-Hexa-Octo-copters!!
From the Quadrocopter and Tricopter Mega Link Index
Transmitter modes, dual rates and exponential:
--Mode 1: is rudder + elevator on left stick, and aileron + throttle on right. Mainly Asia and some in Australia and Europe use this mode.
--Mode 2: has throttle and elevator swapped over (so right stick acts like a traditional joystick with elevator and aileron). Most in USA use this mode.
--Mode 3: is like Mode 1 on opposite sticks.
--Mode 4: is like mode 2, but the sticks are reversed. Mode 4 is great for left handers.

Tri-Quad-Hexa-Octo-copters!!
This is typical performance with fcb's using sonar, which is limited to altitude hold under 3M. The DJIWK-M, NAZA, and the Sheng Tian/Bumblebee seem to have this kind of near sonar-like altitude control with a barometer which has no limits. That is the altitude hold performance to chase
Cheers,
Jim
