If elite release a brushless version of this quadcopter would be great! I would like to buy an mqx but I will wait for the brushless version. I think they will release it soon

If you really want to impress Horizon Hobby/E-flite /Blade staffers, you may want to add the f to your next elite comments. And I hope your wait isn't too long. Brushless is cool, but the added weight and complexity makes it more prone to damage with any accidents. The near super lightness of the mQX and even more so with the latest super micro quads make them less prone to damage due to less mass at the crash. Easier on walls, windows, LCD Tv's, and baby quadcopters. More mass and brand new quad pilots will not make a lot of friends for Horizon. But that may just be my old 62 year old opinion kicking in again. Yes I have had my issues with little baby brushed motors by Horizon and others, but I won't begrudge Horizon for not jumping headlong into a new failure rate issue. Expert level equipment should probably not be pushed onto the largely beginner RC hobbyist. Even the mQX takes more than beginner skills to master. Just some thoughts from an mQX pilot. I can't see where brushless will make it any different / better except more expensive. |

Will I buy it if it were more expensive and had brushless motors? Yes. Why? I'm assuming brushless:
I'm not holding my breath for this, and I am very happy with the mQX. Bravo Eflite! (I'm also pretty happy with the nano CPX, but I am selling my other Blades: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1811782) |

i have about a hundred flights as well but have replaced 4 motors, 2 booms, 2 bearings, a shaft and desperately need a new canopy. In my defense most of the damage came as I lost motors and that darn cracked shaft, couldn't figure out why it wasn't flying right, kept thinking it can't be another motor I finally got it all sorted out and it is a blast now but not as durable as some say unless you already know how to fly something without a flybar. I did learn a lot in the process though and now enjoy "obstacle courses"

I'd gladly pony-up for a bl version. More power, higher efficiency, lower weight, longer flight-time, no variation in power output between samples, consistent power delivery over time, less maintenance, and a lifespan that's orders of magnitude longer. I see no downside, here.

I bought a used MQX a few months back. Qwner seemed ok and it had many extras. RTF with new batteries/ extra new canopy/ and bunch of new blades and two extra new booms for $60.00. Been flying it everyday last two months and its fine. Fly it with new DX5e and like it big time. There are many clones out there and have two V929's. Not as good but they fly very well. A brushless MQX would be great for some but cost will be problem for average flyers. I also have Hoten -X brushless Quad fromn Walkrea and its awesome. Blade and Walkrea are ones to watch in micos/ 450 sized birds. Helis/Quads.

But as far as I'm informed there will be a 2.4GHz protocol come out with the One Link. - I'm waiting for it, too. Quote:
Sorry for getting quite OT - this was my last post here NOT related to mQX |
