Brentford RC do one but it only has two 5mm LEDs and uses heavy wire.

Thanks in advance.
I used some lights from a parkzone airplane. It had a red and two green lights. It was very light. You have to use a battery from the vapor airplane to power it but it looks great and was relatively inexpensive. I used a heated drill bit to make the holes in canopy. Should be easy to source that from HH UK. I was not trying to get real technical just fooling around. It looks great at night the lights are really bright and weighs very little.

May be helpful: I turn on the Tx, wait, then turn on the mQx.
I still often get the mQx's blue light flashing instead of solid on.
It turns out if I unplug the mQx battery and then turn on the mQx again,
it will often work (never lost the bind). Sometimes I have to try a couple of times of power cycling the mQx to get a solid blue mQx light.
I have yet to need to rebind.
One possibility: when I connect the mQx battery, it is actually bouncing on, off, on.
And the blinking blue mQx light is to indicate that it had lost power (some of my other DSM2 Rx's sometimes do this).

I was bored tonight so I decided to shave off the battery cradle using my dremel and sandpaper in order to attach some velcro:

now my other batteries that were sliding around in the cradle stay snug, and I can center them easily:

I am also hoping this will make it easy to attach the wing cam without requiring any further modifications in order to provide enough ground clearance:

let me know what you guys think! as long as it's good

jk!

Picked up an MQx a couple weeks back. Managed to competently fly it around after 5 minutes! Wha??? I can't hover my 450 Trex nor any CP, but this quad can scoot around and hovers like .. well you all know this.

So after 4 flights, I FPV'd it, of course!

And sure enough, I am hooked! Just ordered a HT-FPV frame with Naza and all the fixins, plus also ordered a LotusRC quad.

now I dunno why, but my SD card in my grounds station got corrupted halfway through the flight. So I couldn't edit the video .. but luckiiy Vimeo uploaded it. You MUST go ahead 40 seconds before the maiden flight begins...

Adding LEDs to ping-pong balls

I found this interesting site with info about lighting up ping-pong balls with defused LEDs: http://www.uchobby.com/index.php/200...-led-diffuser/

FPVHOBBY.com video equipment. 200mW 5.8 vTx, 3g camera, and a 300mah nanotech 1S battery. I glued a $1 jelly lens to get wider perspective, but it is plastic and decreases the image quality a bit. I stick this combo on a few different planes. (also have more serious equipment on my larger planks)

So this may be a little off topic, but does anyone know if the control board can be used for anything else other than flying the mqx?

I ask this because i was wondering if i could somehow use it as a gimbal controler...much like you would use a KK board or something?? I dont even know how i would begin to do this, but it was an interesting thought...I dont really fly my mqx anymore since i started flying larger quads and more recently hexa..
