It seems a crash proof model for indoor flight, but I'll pass this time.

I still hope in a BL MQX with adjustable gain.

I wonder how an MQX with one of these boards would fly?

Or one of these quads with a Multiwii controller like this:

That is a very interesting idea

It would be lighter than the HK multiwii + RX.

Maybe better?

Look at 1:38 in the video, really close flip compared to the mQX.

Blade Nano QX Quadcopter von Horizon Hobby (2 min 17 sec)

What I ask to my BL mQX is a faster "cyclic" behavior and this could be the answer, especially now that I'm upgrading it to 3S.

Have any of you seen the franken quad thread?

The MQX with a smaller board would fly better in theory.
The smaller quads need to be more agile, so you can put the more agile board on the MQX to make the MQX more agile. Plus, the board should be lighter, also increasing performance.

My MQX motor measures at 8.5mm. The NQX specs page says 6mm. That's a ton of mms. So it depends on whether the ESC can handle the 'much larger than designed for' motors.

It is not crash-proof. I think this new "SAFE" technology is basically a 6-axis gyro.

One thing is that the nQx specs
http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...nology-BLH7600
mention using only 6mm motors, so the board may not safely directly drive the larger mQx 8mm motors.
But then again, I and others have measured the mQx at 3 to 3.5A WOT, so 1 mQx motor uses less than 1A at WOT.

LATER: ooops, just noticed that this was partially mentioned above.

Yawn.

This is really sad. Instead of innovating and driving the market like the mQX did, this is an Eflite / Spektrum version of any of a large number of Chinese quads from Walkera and/or the 1SQ from Heli Max. I was so hoping for something better from Eflite.

In fact I have had pretty much this identical product for about a year.... I added Walkera motors and props to an mQX board and frame ala the Franken Quad thread.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Ok, my Mqx blade. I just replaced the front props with the factory supplied alternate props. Now the thing tips to the front and won't fly. I flipped back to my original props, same thing. What am i missing? They're turning the right direction, the installation is fine. But when I hold the undercarriage and left stick up, i don't feel ANY prop wash. Like it has no lift. What gives?
