I dunno about compatibility with fatshark but there's always been these ~gram transmitters around like these:

Ya I've seen those but was looking for something compat with fat sharks so as to keep things simple.

The best way to go about it would be to skip the tradition transmitter setup, and just use a module.

although, if this quad can lift 22-25 grams, you could use a fatshark 100mw transmitter.

What i'm going to do is order this:

http://www.dpcav.com/xcart/product.p...cat=249&page=1

and power it off the main lipo pack using a 3.3V to 5V step up regulator such as this one:

http://www.linear.com/product/LTC3426#demoboards

and soldering a peice of wire to the RF module to act as an antenna (or use a CP antenna).

Then, a simple 3.3 or 5V camera is all that's needed

My biggest complaint right off the bat is that the "round thingies" on each side of the cockpit aren't droids! (Like R2D2)

Exactly!!! I'm still just getting into helis, via my Blade CX2 and Scout CX. This got my attention quickly, so I'm sure it will find it's way into my hanger.

I'll have to look into "Alien Air", never heard of them, but if their customer & tech support (as well as parts availability), aren't as good as HH, then I'm not interested. I've been loyal to Horizon since I got back into RC in 2005. They've never let me down.

that's basically the raw Rf module, what i linked is exactly the same, only it needs 5V and has no wires soldered on

and it's less than half the price

don't worry there will be a brushless mod for the quad, just like the mcpx

Multirotor Builder!!!!!
HH always seems to have a brushless mod for all the planes we will just have to wait. but with 4 brushless motors will it be able to run on 1s or that might have to be upgraded as well to a 2s or 3s.

It should run fine on 1s, its been done before here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=462

I'd be more interested in the mQX if it were ~5" in diameter. its still too big to fly indoors for me... (my house is very small)

ultimately someone will put it on 3s and stretch the frame to a normal sized quad lol

Wouldn't the upgrade to brushless also require an ESC for each motor? Perhaps that is the reason it is brushed.
