Hey... watch this...

Well fired mine up tonight... all worked for a few mins then one of the elevator servos died...Guess I will replace both just in case.

Bummer....

Working with a 7 channel receiver and trying to figure out how best to hook it all up.

I am thinking of Y cabling the Rudder with the side to side TV and running the the up/down TV on Aux1 and Aux2 which would give me roll TV.

If I do not go this route I could just Y cable the up/down TV that put side to side on Aux1 and Up/Down Y cable on Aux2.

I am not looking to be able to disable TV I want it on all the time.

OR I could just go but an 8 channel receiver.

How do you guys have them hooked up?

I'm running mine off of 6 Ch. I'm using a 7ch receiver but that only because I prefer satellite & run seperate bec off of a spare ch. I y'd rudder & tv yaw. Y'd tv pitch. I can turn it off and on but i just leave it on.

The elevator servos are scaring me, I wanted to get by with a 7 channel rx but now going to use my 9. I had really hoped that would be the first foamy EDF that was trouble free out of the box. (Not counting something simple with only 2 or 3 servos.)

Well pulled the servo apart, wire to motor was broke off probably when it was assembled...solder was OK must of caught during assembly and was hanging on by threads (literally) so it worked for a few seconds.

5 Min fix with some new solder... Elevator servos actually do not look to bad in quality... close to an HS65MG.

V8 how is the roll rate?

I was thinking differential TV for elevator to help in high alpha... that would mean just Y the rudder to the TV.

Next up pull the fans and balance.

Also V8 my motors are the same as Mray... looks like you are the odd man out..

Actually I have the motors I got from co workers PNP from rc castle & the motors I got in PNP from rc castle I order by accident instead of the kit. They are both the same 2849 2300kv in the pic. So we're even. Plus BH still list 2200kv n rc lists 2300kv. Now that i recieves a secind pair of motors confirming the 2849 2300kv, it leaves me wondering what they shipped you guys. I have run motors in other planes with 50kv difference & it makes a difference from the lower kv to higher kv motor...

Roll rate is ahhh w/o rudder. I use rudder when u roll and its fine.

From what I was told, the purple one are the old version and they are used in the first batch of production.
They upgraded the motor from second batch of production. I got SU-35 just before New Year from the factory.

First batch was out on the 12/12/2011.

okay now that is the same motor I have including measurements. Wonder why rc castle says it's a 2300kv motor & your box says 2200kv.

V8 do you have a watt meter to actually tell us the numbers that are actually passing through yours? Though you have changed some wiring and connectors.
