Hi Dan,
Do you have any range issues with your radio gear using all carbon construction?

I am going to make the vertical tail out of kevlar to help with the radio. I was able to cut up some fabric and start getting the molds ready for resin infusion.

First part has been resin infused. Now it needs to cure and on to the next.

The fuse is ready for resin, I just ran out of peel ply and need to wait for my order to arrive. I love the look of carbon!

Hi Dan,

Is there an alternative to using your infusing epoxy?
Are there any other thin epoxy's that work?

Some epoxies can be thinned out with alcohol and that works pretty well. The epoxy I am using is around 200cps and most epoxies come around 800cps. CPS is the thickness or drag of the epoxy. I have used West Systems and it works great but will not infuse very far because it is thicker, once it starts to gel it is game over. Everything is ready, now I just have to wait for that brown truck!

I am pleased to announce the first 1/32 scale carbon F-4 tail. It turned out perfect at 8g.
