Well the fans shipped today. Stu said he got them purring like a kitten. Stu set em up for 10S and they are 4500 watts per fan so roughly 9000 watts total. Stu said if needed we can get them to 6000 watts per fan for 12,000 watts total.

Plan B is a Jet Central Rhino turbine or Jet Cat P-180. The turbine has been calling my name the last few weeks...

After the maiden I will re analyze the situation and if she turns out to be a good flying plane but just needs more power..then I may go with a turbine. The weight will be just about the same. I would need to heat treat the inside a little and have a custom made pipe made for me, beaf up a little of this and a little of that but I think it's doable

Personally I think you are golden on the EDF system you have planned. Even at a "lowly" 9000 watts you are at 300 watts per pound at RTF 30 pounds. This is gonna fly WAY more sporty than scale - it's not just watts per pound but 300 watts per pound on a proven power system.

Thanks Rodger, there are errors in it for sure though. One is i am off by 1/2" too narrow on flair out toward the inlets. A few other ones also but ehhh who counting..
