ok, both fans/tail pipes/esc's installed. just test ran them for 5 minutes at high power levels. esc's barely above hand temp, and packs were just barely warm! the fans are pretty smooth, and holy crap, are they loud in the garage. i should be able to hear this thing at jet events, noooo problem! next up is retracts, and some minor details, and its ready to rock next weekend given the weather is ok

heres a little video from today..

after 5 min of varied throttle, and lots of full power, im still at 3.8v per cell. i should be able to get 6 min once the model is all sorted out. not bad for a flying long board lol

That was
poor little truck at least you didn't blow my F-18 down the street

It's looking great bud, look forward to seeing it back on it's feet... I bet it feels great to have her all back in one piece and a new lease on life

It's going to work out great this time for you, I know it

I was getting ready to head out flying but it's blowing pretty good so not sure if I want to waste my time

I don't think he was doing anything to the dump truck. it was simply trying to run away on its own. LOL.

Dude, that's awesome. Two things I meant to ask earlier:

1. What kind of servos are you using on the control surfaces and what sort of receiver power systems, satellite antennas etc? I've never flown anything bigger than 60" foam so am interested in whether additional fail-safes or similar precautions are needed at this size.

2. How did you achieve that fantastic metallic effect at the exhaust nozzles - they look great!
