Well not a good day for the Talons. On my first flight today with my T-38 I had a low voltage cutoff in the final moments of the flight with 1:47 left on the timer and it ended up in the swamp..damage is pretty bad.

Brent maidened his Talon and was flying nice but couldn't get the nose wheel to retract, About half way through his flight one of the ESC blew at the worst possible time and he was forced to land fast and hot and ran off the end of the runway and sustained structural damage.

They sure did look awesome though when they fist were put together.

P Richards has some good video and hope he posts what he has soon.

I saw these birds up close and they both looked great. I have Brent's on video which I will post when I get back home. It took off in no time and sounded great until........ Andy did a great job of flying his and it looked and sounded so real until....... Well that's one to tell the grand kids. Hats off to both guys for doing something incredible and having the nuts to take these projects on. I'm still trying to figure out how they crammed these in to vehicles along with a bunch of other models?

Really quite an unfortunate ending (or is it merely a set back?) but considering you guys were breaking ground on truly BIG edf's I'd say you done pretty darn good all things considered!

If BIG edf's were easy everyone would be doing it - and they aren't - just you guys. Good on ya and a little polishing compound and it'll buff right out!

Justa super human effort by two talonted builders / pilots,I can speak for Brent he really tried hard he so exhusted right now.these guys deserve a lot of credit, they really pushed the envelope.both air frames flew very stable.the sheer logistics of these planes is akin to a home built aircraft. 3 cheers to Andy and Brent
