Hi Woody!!! glad you liked it..vid 3 I think is prabbaly the best one so far.

Yea wingman I took the Hawk and T-33 out for a few sorties this morning. I put the cam on the canopy of the T-33 and got some cool tail footage..Surprised how little that elevator has to move to fly the plane.

Takeing the Talon out tomorrow morning and will have tail cam on. Will fly her inverted and try a stall at altitude.

FUN FUN FUN!! put the 5th flight on the 38 this morning..Man I am really starting to like this jet..

Tail cam turned out great and will load it to you tube this afternoon. Also have ground cam I have to check.

Did a few more tests this flight .Stall, Inverted flight, 4 point roll and knife edge..Stall with full flap and full back stick just mushed. I didn't think it droped a wing but looking at tail cam footage it may have droped just a tad of left wing as I recovered.

Inverted flight required just a bit of down to hold it there..(Nut, I think the CG is pretty close at 9.5, but I thing 9" would also work.

More later...

What a fun plane to fly.

Got to do some erands and will be back home in a few hours..

Aerial tour of Central Nevada lake bed.

Come take an aerial tour of a central Nevada dry lake bed atop a T-38.

Bummed i didn't get the horizontal stab in frame. Without a view finder on the little cam I don't know what gets in the video until I get home and load it.

On landing I just let the plane roll to a stop and then pace off the distance, that's why you don't see me taxi back in the video. This was a 650 foot roll out, I really have to work on my landing techniqe. When I know i have gobs of runway I can kiss the ground pretty nice, but when I am going for that short field I tend to do more of a carrier landing.

T 38 flight 5 (5 min 29 sec)

Andy:

Really nice job on the entire project. Looks like it rolls very well. Hope to be able to see it in person some day. What was your final flying weight? How much thrust (in lbs if you know)?

better put brakes on her ..most Jet flys would require them ...i think. it can only make this plane safer and more fun with less worries.

Ditto! Think about the inertia you have, even at the slowest possible approach speed.
