Here are a couple Duster modifications.
I wanted a bolt on tail for transportation.
1) Drilled and tapped then inset block using Gorilla glue. Set incidence and level with wing buy putting wax paper over block and mounting tail while it set. Came out perfect.
2) Bent control rod at 90 deg. It is held in place under tension. Must insert rod before bolting on the tail.
3) Cut vertical stab slot, lined slot with epoxy, covered tail with plastic wrap, inserted, leveled and let set. Nice and tight.
4) Made small music wire pin. Pushed though fuse and stab. Hardened area on stab around pin hole with CA. Easy to install and remove. No need for tape. Holds very well.
