Well the T-28 is the only one that's out of stock, if that's any indication...

Received my T28 Trojan yesterday and assembled it last night.
Quality of this kit is excellent. Went together very easily.
Only modification required was a little foam removal to fit my battery and adjustment of the elevator linkages.
looking forward to the maiden this weekend.

Durafly T28 Trojan (0 min 34 sec)

Hope to get some video of the Trojan on the weekend

Maiden of the trojan went reasonably well.
Take off on grass was not a problem with then stock gear. Got up in the air and It only needed a little left trim and was all good.
This trojan flys really nice. Nice and stable in the air and will happily fly around at just half throttle.
Tested out the flaps for landing and they do slow the plane up nicely.
Landing needs a little throttle so that you can keep the nose up.
Maiden flight had a perfect landing, second flight's landing had the front gear touchdown first and broke the front retract :-(
I have been able to repair it and will see how it holds up, however i think it will need a stronger unit like the main retracts.
Front retract has plastic pivot point where as the main gear has metal.

Overall this is a great plane and flys beautifully out of the box. Highly recommend too anyone looking at getting a t28 trojan.

I just got around to prepping my Durafly T-28 for a maiden maybe later today as it's gusting like crazy right now despite it being close to 40 degrees Celsius...

As with the FMS T-28 I have I have notice my flaps do not move all that much, from your video my maximum flap position seems to be around where yours are in position one.

Perhaps it is me doing something wrong and I was told I might have to rehinge the flaps on the FMS version but now I see it just might be an error on my part. BTW I have set the throw on the flaps to 100% in radio

Any help will be much appreciated!

I noticed the same thing when setting mine up.
on my dx8 if i set the wing type for normal, i get full travel for the flaps.
if i set the dx8 to 1 aileron/ 1flap i get half the travel like you have indicated.
i think they have designed the plane this way to be used on a standard radio and as such the flaps don't need to be configured in my dx8.
if i were to change the flap servos to standard units i suspect they would operate as they should under the correct 1 aileron / 1 flap setting.
good luck with your maiden.

Same and Jim - have you maxed out the mechanical gain by putting the control rod in the outermost hole on the servo arm and the innermost hole on the flap horn?

I don't want to land yet!

Strike3, what is the Adelaide Arena site like to fly at? Does the council give you any grief?

Yes, using 125% throw on the radio now still not a whole load but it'll do.

Okay, so here is how much the flaps move at the moment

Untitled (0 min 27 sec)

Should I leave it at this and be done with it?

Just move the servo arms backwards of you want more, I must admit, I didn't really use any more when I test flew it.

Same, that looks like half flaps only.
You can try to program a mix for Flaps to Flaps.
If you put this on a different switch, you can effectively get 1 more additional level of flaps.

No, look at the position of the horns, it looks like an assembly error, they are neutral rather than at the rear....programming won't help.

yes, you are right. I just went back and look at the my P-51, and it was installed incorrectly too.
Programming may still help depending on which Tx it is.
On my DX8, the flaps channel don't give as much travel as the other channels.

The flaps control rod on Same's T-28 also appears to be connected to the outermost hole on the flap horn - move it to the innermost hole.
