Thanks Guys,

The bottom was left unpainted to help with orientation, save weight and laziness.

The mixing programming of the DX7 to use the ar6400 brick opened a can of worms............ but it is now sorted I hope. The rudder servo now operates one elevator half.

I use a 6400 in my Micro Hawk and I have the rudder and elevator mixed so it operates as tailerons. No ailerons in mine. Works great!

The FJ-1 tail has loads of dihedral so maybe separate servos on each half is the easiest and lightest solution.

On the DX7 you have to use one mix to kill the rudder stick and another to mix the rudder servo to the elevator. However you have to use mix6 for this or you don't get the trims to work! None of this is in the instructions ...................what did we ever do before internet forums were invented?

I am using the DX7 also. You turn the throws down to zero on the rudder channel so it doesn't move.

Forums are brilliant for info sharing for sure!

And a happy new year to you too.

Winter storms are coming in off the Atlantic so I don't know when video will be posted

Hi Guys,

Here's a couple of short snippets.

FJ-1 Fury micro r/c jet (0 min 46 sec)

FJ-1 Fury Micro R/C (0 min 39 sec)

The cg is spot-on. The elevator is bordering on twitchy with plenty of control during the flare.

I'll take some better video on a nicer day and I'm a little more relaxed with the model.

Power seems to be ample. During a later flight I was flying multiple loops without loosing height. Rolls were a bit untidy but that might have been me?

Congratulations!

Sounded like you had a bit of wind blowing?

What sort of rolls were you expecting? I think warbird rolls tend to be more like barrel rolls.

Stegla,
Nice job with the Fury! Looks and flies wonderfully.
Had the fortune of "crawling around" one of the remaining two FJ-1s this morning. It is such a beautiful aircraft that is so anonymous.

Nice! Looks like you were at Chino? Great to know that there is still a flight worthy FJ-1.
