AAAAAAHHHHHH all the planks....so many to choose from...
Love the wind burners........fastest on the planet ATM....
Love the WARHEAD....because I'm the only one who owns one..
Love the atomic....good investment. Very fast, strong,and only go up in value..
Love the new JW...old school charm and reputation, and can only go faster molded.....
Over the next year or too , planks are going to raise the bar quite a lot, 300 will fall very soon. And 350 is not imposable..

As for air brakes...build a plank with a solid core and you don't have to worry about landing fast. So far crashing @ 150 straight in with out a problem.

Time to put active CG in one of those windburners so they can cruise past 300!

I agree..very easy to do. Just a few Grams/oz's and a good servo will do it.
Every click of trim can make it a little more nose heavy..

You would want to move the cg rearward as speed increases. Alan Coconi could incorporate this into his custom telemetry system.This type of system could be the 1 thing that gets a tailess DS plane over 300 mph in the right hands and at the right spot and at the right time....

The windburner has a amazing, hand ground semi simetrical airfoil. Through some enalysis by Peter wick , found that as RE increased as speed went up the airfoil became tail heavy. so at very high speed it may TUCK. We don't know @ what speed this will be..
At 260mph , and that was a light weight , it was rock solid.
So who knows how fast it will go. It will do 300 fairly easy. My 240 over hear was not hard at all..

Hi Dave,

long time no see, hope to get to Otford this year

Dont do green ,it took me 3/4 hr to find that one in the bushes

let us know when you want one , Glenn is also working on a mould for a hollow moulded wing, we now have a bigger router table that I'm getting my head around as well to do parts

Sounds good Rick. I have been hitting Otford as much as the wind allows but missed Manilla (moving house/building). I have been thinking of a Zipper for a while but landing at Otford (Northern side) always fun BRAAAAAAAKES . Hollow moulding sounds good hope to catch up soon.

Heres my plank to the mix- Down at the beater end of the scale, The skunk. It was third hand when I got it, built by R/C Junkie. It has d so many lives and many different forms but always flies unreal and loves to go low (conseqently been crashed a lot) and just wont die! My dad has it now.

Just to let you know though, there isn't anything 'crunchie' about the Splinters, they are solid.
