Yup but, what I meant was just the wheel it self, not the assembly.

The tail wheel is a Sullivan Skylite wheel that I turned on a lathe to remove the tread and cut the groove. The exposed foam in the groove was finished with a product called "Neocote", which is available in dive shops.

For those who are interested I am porting over my RC Scale Builder build log onto RC Groups as several of you have had problems getting onto RCSB and I have copied bits over piecemeal. I will hopefully have it copied over in the next few days.

It can be found at https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1732142

Bruce,

It is not that hard since I wrote it in Word (since I am such a verbose *****) and cut and pasted into RCSB so I have it all down and just need to paste it in here.

Peter.

Bruce I was wondering, since you are going into such detail of a FB and I'm not trying to be a now but, are you going to split the bomb bay doors to use front gun doors and rear bomb bay doors? And are you going to install a HF/DF antenna in the cockpit on the plate that is sitting in the top of the canopy behind the crew? I think your doing such a fantastic job I just don't want you to miss something that might be important.

Ray the parts are still sitting on my desk there's still a bunch of things to be made and installed in the cockpit, I just jump around a lot I'll get an idea and then go work on that
I needed a break from the cockpit that's why I jumped to the engines and cowlings and now have jumped over to my P-38M build posted here on warbirds to do an idea on the tail section w/ that build.
It's just how I work I'm not all prim and proper when it comes to my creativity when I get a good idea I do it or at least figure it out and finish it later.
And yes the aft bays will be for bombs don''t know if they will be able to drop yet but the bay doors I plan to have them working and there will be rockets under the wings also.
Still a lot of work ahead so stick around the fun has just begun!!

Very nice looking real good, It takes a lot of work for the small stuff doesn't it?
there's a lot going on in a real small area w/ that tail wheel, is it going to be retractable and steer also?

Yes going to be retractable but have to finish fuselage before I can do any fitting. Hope to be back on fuselage next week.
