Of course this is the best option and we can close the case.

Guys, i have a the v2 camera with D lens and have a question.

I am currently using the firmware version right before this last version. I decided a few weeks ago to try and use the video out as an fpv camera onmy quad. I used the included mini usb adapter and hooked it up to the rx receiver to get power from the esc BECs. I flew for a few minutes and then all of a sudden the camera shutdown mid flight and i crashed.

I had the camera recoding at the same time as well. I never understood why the camera shutdown. I thought that running external 5v would keep it running continously? Other than enabling video out, was i supposed to change something else in the configuration file? Since then i went back to a dedicated fpv camera since i couldnt trust it. Please advise what i did wrong.

Is the cam still working, or is it dead? The output of a BEC is not accurately 5.0V and the cam only accepts up to 5.2V, if I remember correctly. The BEC though (may) offer up to 5.4V, what can kill your cam. Use a 7805 to assure, the voltage doesn't exceed the limitations of the 808. But lets see, what the pros answer...

Well, it certainly took you a very long time to find your way here! I had almost completely forgotten you existed Remember when we moved there from the Mega thread?

Yes, the #11 used to be great in it's days, but that's almost 2 years ago and things have advanced - how time flies. The developer has done a fantastic job with this gadget and prime time hasn't even been reached yet

As you have noticed, the camera works just fine out-of-the-box, but there are so many other possibilities you can explore.

victapilot has made some great videos using different color settings for the v0.49 firmware, but you'll have to wade thru this thread to find them

Anyway, good to see you (back)

Probably output his video project from his editing software as 1080.
The source footage could be anything from any camera.
He does not claim it to be original raw footage from an 808#16....

Yes, might be worth doing for uploads to YouTube, which degraded everything, but maybe relative. So degraded 1080p might be better than degraded 720p.

That's an interesting point... I still wouldn't do it for the simple fact that it would take me all eternity to upload. Takes long enough at 720p with ~7Mbps compression.

Yes, for that same reason I do my 720p rendering at 5Mps and 1080p at 10Mps.

What is a 7805? Diode?
