How do I land this thing?

I used a small burr to cut the corner away and give it room to function. now it opens and closes smoothly.

They certainly aren't perfect and i don't mind a little fitting, if I didn't get two right legs.

fathergoat, have you contacted Philip!
I'm sure if you email him he will rectify the problem straight away.
If you do email him, attach a couple of those photos!!
I'm sure he would almost have the replacement in the mail today, he is that good when he has mad the mistake.

I did exactly that after I made this thread. He's already responded and is sending me out a new set. I am a little disappointed that I can't fly it with the metal trunnions yet. Everyone makes mistakes, the true mark of a good business is how fast they rectify it. Philip get's an A+

Hopefully if you sent him the photo of the trunnions side by side, he might figure out which ones he sent you and send you a pair of the opposites!
But at the very least, will probably be one of each to be on the safe side!!

I love those metal trunnions! So what are the little scissor like shock absorber things called? And where can we order that?

Thanks

Oleo legs! That's what I want. I try and grease the corsair in, but those tires are pretty stiff and could use a little shock absorbition!

Thanks

remote control switch for the lights

hi guys,

i received my receiver controled switch from turnigy those last days (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8833).
no problem to connect it and make it works for the lights.
i plug it on the JST connector (charge) of the 3s 2200mAh that feed the entire plane.
as all examples i've seen are plug on the wire that goes to the esc, do you think i may have problems using this kind of connexion?

Bombs away!!!

Yes, you will have a problem, the power needs to be stepped down. You will burn up the lights. I have one of these for a machine gun module and they work great so long as you follow the schematic to the letter. you need to tap the power + line after the esc and also tap the negative - post esc.

hi quitcherbitchen,
do you mean i have to plug it between the esc and the receiver?

Yes, follow the schematic to the letter. Either that or make a harness inbetween the lights and the receiver. You need to step the power down to the lights and the switch doesn't step. Only your ESC will do that. The important thing is to tap the negative as the switch needs that for a reference. Check my blog. It might help you understand even though it is for a machine gun sound unit.
