My LOSI 1:24 SCT 4WD Build (Must See!!)

I haven't had my Micro SCT long, but I love it. She is going to me my work in progress over the winter months.

So far I have done the steering mod, got the corvette body and dust proofed her.

I have ordered some lights and a mini cooling fan so I will keep yous updated when I have recieved and installed these parts

Here is a few pictures of what I have achieved so far:

ENJOY!!!

Here is some pics of my micro cooling fan setup. It works well it reduces the heat by half even with the stocking covering the holes.

Here is my latest build, 2.4Ghz LOSI Brushless kit and the super slick Pontiac GTO body.

I wanted something that looked really clean fo indoor drifting, while I still use my Corvette body for jumps and what-not

Notice that I also have the Rally front bumper with the SCT rear bumper, which makes the rear end more rigid, lightly touching either side of the body.

I just need to source some losi stickers now, and I am still contiplating whether to add some led lights or not

Too right WPARSONS

Just navigate to ebay and type in '1:24 body', there should be hundreds. Once you find a seller that looks like they would have what youre after, check out their ebay shop for more hits

Also they require quite a bit of work to get them to fit properly, but you will only need very basic tools. My tool box comprises of......

- A throwing Dart
- A phillips head (star) screwdriver, which is about the same size of the canopy mounting posts.
- A cigarette lighter
- Masking tape
- Scissors
- A fine tip Silver pen

To begin with I.........

- Cut out the body, leaving lots of excess plastic
- Place it on top of my SCT
- Mark where the holes should be for the canopy mounting posts.
- Heat up the dart, and poke in some piolet holes
- Heat up the screwdriver and poke it through the piolet holes
- fit the body, then trim the body accordingly, mainly around the wheel arches, and bumbers.
- If the body reqires some chrome work, freehand it on with the silver pen
- Tape off where you want the windows
- Then paint.
- after painting and removing the tape, sometimes the paint has seeped into the tape and on to where you want the windows so I use a cotton tip and nail polish remover to tidy every thing up

I have to say after installing the LOSI 2.4Ghz/brusheless kit, and getting the LOSI LIPO, my SCT is 100x better. I love not experiencing any radio interferance, and the extra power is nice too.

On top of the above mentioned the motor barely gets warm now and I achieve run times of around 20mins, while drifting.

I tried to shoot a video of some drift action earlier, however the vid turned out too dark. I will try to get a better one soon

How small is the 2.4ghz micro combo? It's the rx and esc in one right? Would you mind taking some measurements for me? I want to build a 1/12 scale brushless bike but don't want to spend 100 bucks on a rx and esc that's not going to fit. I already have the xcelorin esc and motor combo but will sell the esc and go to the esc rx combo if it's about the same size as the xcelorin esc alone. Thanks
