Got my "order processing" email and just ordered a Motrolfly DM2815-950. I have a set of Savox SH-0255's and an Ice Lite 50 that I'll use

Hey sticky, are the arms on these Savox servos long enough for 3D rates, or are you using extensions?

I'm using the 3DHS phenolic arms. I had to re-drill them to fit on the circle arms that come with the servos.

Damn.. I knew I should have ordered some of those. Oh well, I just used my points to redeem a $25 gift certificate, so I'll place the order

On the 4' planes I've usually been able to get 3D throws using the stock hitec arms and setting up my endpoints correctly, but the arms that come with the Savox servos are pretty short and flexy.

I should probably order some servos.
You can hook them up to an old brushed esc and use a slider or knob on your Tx to dim them. It works great on my bigger planes, but I like to avoid the weight on my smaller ones if I can.

I'm using a 10A one on my 41" Edge. Weighs around 7g with the wires trimmed down. 3-cell limit tho.

I used a small one in my 47" SHP, but nice small ones are getting hard to find. All of the brushed esc's at Hobby King are pretty large, and the nice small ones at my local hobby shop are $$.

$13+shipping for the ones I use. Not super cheap, but not much more than using a BEC or switch. http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id...28&pid=U544937

Nice, thanks!

The 10 amp one at my local hobby shop was $40!

Only 1.8 grams without wires
An adventurous person could take off the heat srink and solder on some tiny wire to get that thing really light

I got one 10 minutes ago. Scheduled for delivery on Monday the 12th. Wish I'd have it for the weekend, but 3DHS is a bit further from Phoenix these days.

Oh well, I'll actually be looking forward to Monday for once.
