2012 AMA/LSF Soaring & Electric Nationals

Thank you for your patience - we wanted to get everything just right.

Here is the schedule for the 2012 AMA/LSF Soaring and Electric Nationals:

Dates------------------------- Events

Sat-Sun 7/28-29:------- NOS/RES or XC *

Mon-Tue 7/30-31:------- Two Meter or F3K

Wed-Fri 8/1-3:---------- Unlimited **

Sat-Sun 8/4-5----------- F3J with winches

Sun 8/5:---------------- 1/2A LMR with ABQ 28mm rules

Mon-Tue 8/6-7:--------- ALES

Wed 8/8:--------------- LMR Class B

*-- You may enter either or both NOS/RES events but only XC as XC will be flown on a new course offsite from the AMA site. Check the XC thread in RC Groups for XC details.

**-- Note that the Unlimited Event is three days long this year.

A lot of time and effort has already been put forth to make the 2012 NATS a special event. Many thanks to Tom Kallevang and Marc Gellart who made this schedule possible.

Sorry, same as last year I can't find any rules for the ELECTRIC events you have listed on-line.

The 1/2A LMR with ABQ 28mm rules, and ALES, even a search of the RCG archives does not turn up anything.

Please provide a site for the rules that AMA recognizes for these events, last year I was goiong to travel over 1,500 miles to participate, but never was able to find the govering rules for the Electric events.

Thank you very much for your help,

Crunch

Crunchie,

The rules were published in February 2011 in this thread: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...56&postcount=6

The 1/2A 28mm and ALES rules are pretty much the same this year ... might be some small changes but again the pdf will be posted in the thread.

Sorry you missed out last year ...

Tom,
I need an application this year since I missed that 2011 Nats. Are they being published?

Thanks,

AMA typically mails entry forms to contestants from the past two or three years, but as Marc stated, all the forms should be up on the AMA website before the end of the year.

This is the site but please note while the page references the 2012 Nats, the forms are still the 2011 versions: http://modelaircraft.org/events/nats/entryforms.aspx

We all know that there are many unsung workers that make "glider camp" happen for us every year.
Many thanks to all of you ( you know who you are)

Five days of plastic bashing, should make the manufacturers drool.
I know where I will be that week. Wouldn't miss it, glider camp is too much fun.
