Put some glue on your next tail motor to provide some protection for the wires and end cap.
Thanks, Steve, I'll do that. I got the old motor out already so hopefully the rest will be easy.

My tail motor just gave up this morning after about 20 days, 6x daily average. Now it must be pushed to rotate. That is motor problem right ?

Is it normal for tail motor to fail after about 120 x 5 mnts, roughly 10 hours service ? I did stop for 5-10 mnts between each session. But I feel tail motor heat up higher than normal lately.

The one at the start is my white clone. The double beep you hear at about 13 secs is the TX being switched to fast rates, and the bird does get up a good head of steam in that mode... certainly enough to make me duck in a hurry if I suddenly find it's heading my way

If you've done all the usual checks for hair and fluff etc binding up the shaft then it probably is the motor. There isn't really any "normal" lifespan with these things, but I find 10 hours flying from the tail motor isn't too bad.

Best bet is to buy a bunch of motors here...

... and a bunch more helis so you can rotate them and they don't wear out so quick... that's what I did

Thanks

Hi Tigger, nice to know you are still around
Thanks for the link, will get some motor from them. Very cheap. That 1 is for tail right ? Do you have link for the main motor as well ? They sell v911 batteries as well I noted.

Hello,
I bought a V911 micro helicopter with a TX in mode 1.
Is there a possibility to invert the throttle? I' m used to have full throttle with the stick pulled backwards.

Thanks for your answer

If I was you, I would get used to using the throttle the normal way if you intend move on to other aircraft and larger aircraft.

I know of NO one who uses the the throttle reserved.

What got you started on using it reserved?

Over here most people that fly mode 1 have their throttle reversed.
I've learnt to fly that way many years ago.

I've only used one of mine so far, but it's been in for over a month now and works perfectly... mystman has used a good few of them on quads and stuff as far as I know, so he'd be able to give you better feedback

Yup, they fit perfectly into the tail motor holder. Don't know if they do motors the same size as the main, as these ones are generic motors that just happen to be the right size. Don't know what search criteria mystman used to find them, but maybe he'd be able to help you there. I buy all my batteries - and most of my helis and spares - from Banggood. Now that I have enough to keep me flying in the meantime it doesn't bother me having to wait 3 or 4 weeks for delivery.

Cheers
Tigg

Wow. I'm always amazed at how different things can be in the same hobby around the World.

The stock V911 Tx is actually mode 2. It comes with dual rates and if you press the silver button on the upper left side of the Tx it will go into the higher of the two dual rates and indicate mode 2 on the display. Maybe yours is different though, but this is what we get shipped here in the USA.

Iv already need new Tx batteries and wondering why the V911 Tx pulls more power than my eflight Tx. I'm guessing its the display and red lights..

Has anyone clipped the power to these red lights without any adverse effects?
