Hey guys, does anyone know if the V911 will bind with the Blade SR HP6DSM 2.4GHz DSM2™ transmitter. I saw a post where someone was using it but wasn't sure if they had modded it at all.

The only TX i am aware it will bind to ( apart from the original one) is the 9X using a flysky module.

Thanks for the pix, scousethief!!!

I fly with EFlite-style batteries in my V911 so I might pick up a set of these skids for myself as well. The paddles look nice as well.

Lube the motor from the shaft end. I believe the bushing is heating up too much and seizes momentarily, resulting in the motor snatching like that (snatching is a term early v911 owners coin?)

I saw reports of issues like this often in the early days of the v911. Since then, I haven't seen too many reports of bad motors.

Earlier in the thread, some reported motor "snatching" when overheated.
Sometimes a single drop oil light machine oil at the gear end bearing helped.

I did some motor life testing between a stock V911 and Bravo SX.

The testing was apparently flawed because I ran them from fixed voltage, but with no load.
They quickly heated up, even at relatively low voltage.

The Bravo SX, defintely "snatched" badly as soon as it heated up at all.

Both motors would "snatch" of the shell was squeezed with your fingers even a tiny bit of pressure.

Make sure nothing about the mounting of the motor is causing any pinching of the case.

After the testing, I diassembled both motors.
It was obvious that the Bravo SX windings had been rubbing the inside of the motor shell. All the shellac was worn off the windings in numerous spots.

TY

I was going to swap to the Eflite connectors as my next "mod" , at the front of the underslung cage on the skids is a "blank plate" i thought i might glue an eflite connector in there and make the batteries plug in rather than the cable at the back, works perfectly but looks a little untidy to me

Nice, thanks for that info RicksterRC. Very interesting.

@scousetheif: I agree. There's a possibility the battery will disconnect on impact more that way. But I look forward to your modding result.

For those who have run them how much of a difference does the fish eye swash make.
i ask because my bnf red white has a pronounced tbe its only noticable indoors. I have a basic orange black on order from tmart my first was rock solid problem is it took a bath and now the tail won't hold. If i could find someone in michigan to solder a new board in i would do it but my hands are not good.

Personally I found that using the centre pin rather than the offset one on the fisheye swash helped it a little with control precision, but it could just be my imagination.

Daryoon, good point hmmmmmm glad you mentioned that.

The fisheye swashes that I received had two pins one offset like the original and one central
