How much is the discharge rate of the stock battery?
This battery fit the V911? It will get more response and speed with this battery? https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...zone_Etc_.html |

I ordered from Amazon. I tried to contact Hero RC via email two times using the contact seller option at Amazon, but I never got a response. It seemed reasonable to expect 180 mah batteries since that is how they advertise it so I filed a claim on Amazon stating such. To my surprise I immediately got a rebate offer from Amazon. I'm not exactly sure how it works but I think it's Amazon's attempt to basically guarantee customer satisfaction. If the seller fails to correct the issue I at least get the rebate. I doubt that Amazon would do this every time someone files a claim, maybe they have had multiple complaints, I really don't know. Anyway Hero RC may yet respond and in the meantime I am very satisfied with Amazon, and the H911 in general. I love the heli.

What is a rebate in this context?

It will be a credit to my Amazon account. The surprising thing is that it was for the full purchase amount. Like I say, I don't really understand, it's a little confusing. Under what circumstances would Amazon make such offers? Also there is a button I can click to withdraw the claim, in the event that Hero RC actually responds and does something to satisfactorily resolve the problem. I think if that happens then I lose the credit. All i can figure is Amazon has the systems in place to keep their customers satisfied.

At any rate, I just asked to be given the correct batteries listed, or for them to change the product description to the batteries (smaller mah) they are apparently shipping to everyone. A very reasonable request, customers shouldn't be deceived and ripped off like this. If enough people complain maybe something will happen. If HeroRC doesn't respond to this I'm going to give them a bad rating and I encourage others who have the same problem to do the same. I read so many cases here where someone orders something and receives something else. I'm aware the price might be very small and not worth the hassle, but as a matter of principle and customer protection from unscrupulous businesses, we should take the time to complain to them and leave a bad review to warn other potential customers. |

New to the hobby and need some help from you guys. I ordered the Lightning Bird V911 and have had nothing but problems with the tail motor. It arrived with the black cap on the tail motor popped off which was impossible to fix as I learned by reading the threads and by trial and error. The seller shipped a replacement right out which I soldered the wires at the motor, not the board, as recommended to me here. The thing was hovering solid and flying great for me even having only flown a 4ch, or any other heli a handful of times. Well tonight I went to take it out for a quick lap around the living room only for it to give me problems. After looking it over, holding it in my hand while giving it throttle, the tail motor is acting up again. This time it doesn't spin unless I give it about 2 bars on the tx display of throttle which at that point it works fine. Wiring looks good and no hard crashes between last time it flew fine and now. Any ideas of what the problem could be or what to check out? I'm really getting into this hobby but this tail motor issue is driving me crazy.

maybe it's just a premature tail motor? Mine is starting to go out so I went ahead & order this.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i00 should be coming in before next friday & i'm hoping it will be an improvement over the original |

Very filmsy skid
HI there,
Got my V911 from Banggood, 2 weeks after I placed my order. Did some VMI last night. - the skid is really really filmsy, no wonder so many reports of broken skid. Has anyone done any mod on the skid ? Maybe like reinforcing it with wire to make it stiffer ? If it is indeed stiffer, any concern of hard landings (due to stiffer skid) that may cause damage to the receiver ? - Man ! The boom is really solid, no question about it - I noticed that, from the back view, the right hand servo arm is not level. So I took out the link to shorten it by some CW turning/screwing, until it is level. By the way, the right servo (from back view) is supposed to control the forward and backward movement ? Is it supposed to be level at all. Cheers |
