Nurflügel - New Forum Request

Forum Name:
Nurflügel ( Wing Only )

Category:
Aircraft - Exotic and Special Interest

Description:
For Horten style aircraft, be it powered or glider. Typically Flying Wings without rudders.

Justification:
In the Germany, all the forums have a dedicated "Nurflügel" section. These are different than Flying Wings inasmuch as Nurflügel typical have no rudders. This section would serve members who build, for example, Horten style aircraft, whether it be powered or glider.
The design and construction of these aircraft are much more complicated and problematic that Flying Wings which have rudders and thus deserve their own section. Having a dedicated forum for this topic would allow for a high level of discussion that would be unlikely in a less focused forum, such as Electric Flying Wings. For examples of Nurflügel type posts, see posts by cpdude, Robbie d, Tail Saw, andrecillo76, Tijgerhaai and myself Knoll53. Sorry if I left anyone out.

Cast your Vote
If you would like to see this forum created, cast your vote by clicking the "New Reply" button located on the lower left and typing YES ( or any other compelling comment ). We need 50 replies to get the process started. Not surprisingly, the moderator gets these type of requests all of the time. See https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=609901

Thank you for supporting Nurflügel type aircraft.

regards,
Kent Knoll

I'm in, but I think that by saying Horten type aircraft you are forgetting our Northrop based brothers.

Yar, count me in.
