Neu 1917/1Y has a 590kV and will do 6kW+ without issues. Also available with a 8mm shaft and it has a 50mm diameter so it's a perfect fit really.

I sent them a e-mail asking about the release date, but I think it's close cause this looks like a production model not a prototype.

Usually has to be ordered directly from Castlecreations, not many Neu dealers out there stocking these I'm afraid. I had to wait 7 weeks to get mine made and delivered.

I hope the cone spinner assembly has been machined to center on the shaft without the need of the blades.

What to I mean???

If one removes all the blades and assembles all the aluminum parts onto the adapter, they all align on center except the cone. It has no aluminum support/lockin/alignment . It relies on the plastic blades to "center" itself and to stay centered at the high rpm range.

The cone extends out and is one of the more important components of balance and wobble.

I have a retro fix for mine. I'll post it once it's done. Would work for many fan systems as well.

Here is the x-flight guys final test video of the fan with Scorpion 800kv motor on 12s hitting 8800 watts.
I have to give them props for putting this thing through the ringer for the last several months trying to get it right before they release it. Sounds like the batteries are sagging pretty bad though.

Hmmmmm....I'm a little confused. 8800 watts and it only hit 6.6kg? Couldnt really read the amp meter either. Sounded great though!

6.6 kg = 14.6lbs Not bad.

8800 watts 12s @ (4 volts per cell for around 2 seconds) no sag at all would = 183.3 amps according to internet calculators.

Realistically, volts would be less. So whats the amp draw??


Something doesn't make sense, or it's just too much for that motor.
