How to strip plank a fuselage

Ive been attempting to plank my at6 fuselage with 1/16 inch balsa and everything has been fine but i have no idea how to fill the gaps or how to stip plank period for the most part. I have been just cutting 3/8 planks and glueing 1 on one side than 1 on the other. Now gaps are starting to form and compound curves are not easy any advice would be very much appreciated

To help form the balsa around curves try wetting the balsa with water. it will help it conform easier without breaking. If the gaps aren't too big you can fill them with lightweight spackle.

Yup, water/windex to help conform the planks,
When stripping your planks do so at a slight angle
So that they are slightly keystoned when looking
End on, this helps minimise the gaps as they follow
The curvature of the fuse. Planking does take time
Due to the fact that every plank must be custom
Formed to suit it's position. Red Devil filler is what I
Use for any minor gaps remaining, it I very very light
in weight and sands very well.
