Help!

computer power supply use as AC adapter for IMAX B6


Please need help!


want to use computer power supply as AC adapter for IMAX B6 charger (220V)


power supply DATA

Input: 115V/230V ~,6/4A

out put 250W

+3.3V 10A Orange
+5V 20A RED
+12V 9A Yellow
+5VSB 1.5A Purple
- 5V 0.5A white
- 12V 0.5A Blue
PS-ON Green
P.G Grey


Please advice me as i m not electronics expert make very easy and clear

as in my Power supply i can see the yellow wires are 12v how much wire i need to join with black wires ???

i was posted previous post wrongly

i mean to ask is how much yellow wire i need to use only 1, 2 , 5, or what. n do i need the same numbers in black so the two connection come out + and -

For 9 Amps...
2 to 3 yellow wires and 2 to 3 black wires will be fine.

Yes, 5 each will be fine.

The iMax B6 charger is a 50 Watt charger. Even one wire each will work for that charger.

that mean as my power supply is 250W it mean one yellow n one black will be as

Current (Amps) Voltage (V) = Power (Watts)

9 Amps X 12V = 108 Watts.

Your power supply is (theoretically) capable of 108 Watts on the 12V side. But due to efficiency losses, it's probably more like 90 Watts.

what i got is weather i take one yellow one black or more number i will get the same current rate n i.e is:

12V.....9A......... 108W

am i rite?/

Yes, you are right. Just make sure the PS is able to use 220V.
