How small can i make CA hinges?
I have never used those little guys before. I bought a sheet from Great Planes. At the hobby shop i noticed the pre-cut CA hinges were huge. Way bigger than I imagined using. Memory guesses they were 3/4" wide.
This application is just a stryker elevon. But the elevons are 6mm depron. I cut a bevel in the elevon and used blenderm. But im not happy with the travel. I apply the tape with the elevon down but it still is a little sloppy for my taste. I need 4 hands to get it really tight.
So im gonna use CA hinges. Plan to epoxy them in to keep them flexy. Open to opinions on that.
Goal is to be super duper light weight. How small of hinge can i get away with? Maybe just use more of them? Since depron is flexible i thought having more hinges would stiffin it up.
