Lazy Bee: show your pics?

I've been enjoying and learning about the Bee's from this forum. I would love to see more pictures, or read about your setups while I finish mine. It will be my first electric after years of 2 and 4 stroke sport planes.

They sure look like fun!

Hey Mike
Here is a mod. I made to mine to permit changing batteries quickly and safely (big hands and balsa sticks). As a plus the tray can slide forward on the rails in event of a hard landing.

Crashed,

I can see crash damage could be much reduced by this idea of yours. The batteries could just eject, saving more of the airframe.

Also, the batteries being higher and closer to the center of mass would help in maneuvers, especially rolls I would guess.

It's really clever. Was that Monokote I wonder?

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike
I believe the purple is ora cover and the white is monokote.
I also have a Big Bee with geared Astro25 and a yard bee they are all a blast to fly, I think you will enjoy yours.

My LzB has been a miserable failure with e-power. Either direct or geared, it managed only a single flight, and that with the assistance of a stiff wind.
My electric NERD, otoh, actually flew well..

What was the setup that failed? It could be useful to know what doesn't work.

Thanks,
