WOW Just had another Tekapo equivalent experience!
I was up at Cass ridge in a ENE wind (the better direction) in 45-60mph. Well 45-55mph consistent with one gust at 59mph.
Had the Scratcho Fluttering! Was the fastest it has ever gone! I was thinking this is faster than Tekapo that day, but being honest, the model was better trimmed, and I was more used to it so was doing better circuits.
MAN it was fast. About the same as the Tekapo day. But where the were my cameras? COuldn't find them before I left and couldn't find them anywhere in the car. DAMN.
Oh and forgot to tell everyone I was heading up. Plan was for some medium DS, maybe getting to 200 with the Scratcho, but I found SO much more! WOW Still buzzing!
Had to do huge laps as it was too fast to follow doing anything small. HUGE laps down into the valley well over 200 and some certainly over 250. I have flown the scratcho over 200 enough now to know how it feels when it gets well over 200. I swear it was about 270 odd. High resonance flutter from I think an aileron or flap. Will have a look.
Wing screws were all loose on landing too. Ooops, need to work on them.
WOW!! REally buzzing right now!
