They should do a green & gold all Aussie scheme too

I am thinking of doing a primer one next month and then doing it in grey and tiger scheme like an F16, should look quite nice. Am excited about the new Sniper, finally the right size 90mm!

I really dig the Green Lightning Scheme to be honest.

If these are the true color schemes.I am in for the Green Version

399 Bucks ain't expensive anyway.

I got the Power Drive System, ESC, Servos..

Now I just need new Batteries, Rx and I am good to go

Can't wait!

Guys,
The AMA Expo was awesome. Not so much in the way of "deals" (unless you're looking for a junk throw-away cheapy heli) but lots of neat new products from our local favorite manufacturers/vendors.
Bumped elbows with alot of old and new friends and I'm totally motivated for the 2012 flying season! I hope to see many of you at the first big show of the year here in the Southwest: the Arizona Electric Festival

Hi Vic

So you can confirm me the dimensions I provided?

If so then I am all over this Jet and I will commence and initialize the battery payment for 2x4S

Besides Vic..I think our Dog may have another bone to pick with yours

He says, it should be Black/Orange(gold)/White, lol!

The battery dims you provided in your earlier post fit well in the XL90.

Height was not a factor, Width of 45mm gives you a few mm's per side to slip in/out, and Length is no factor... you'll be free to slide packs around no problem.

I guess my question to you would be; an 8s setup?

Just as a heads up, you will have to go higher than the 1485kv setup I'm currently running, and you'll be pulling some massive current (at least 100amps) on the HET 9305V2. I'm sure the bird would fly just fine on the 1485kv with 8s (I've flown the L-39 on 8s, which is draggier), but you will be much happier with the performance on 10s or 12s. Just my opinion.

We'll have to agree to disagree there I dont think the 9305 has all that great performance, not when our 8s 3000w wemo setups do well over 150mph in the JTM hawk which is heavier, and draggier than the sniper.

If you can get the 9305V2 to pull 3kw on 8s, I'm sure it'd be a rocket ship!
All I'm saying is that to get 3kw (even on awesome packs) you'll have to draw upwards of 100+amps.

The HET L-39 (w/ 1485kv 700-series motor) was clocked at 112mph on 8s, but that was only 85 amps. Knowing this, I'm sure the XL90 on that setup would probably be in the range of 120-125mph.

Now if we bump the kv up a notch, which I would recommend for 8s, you'd get some higher RPM's for sure but at the cost of more amps.

Hey Vic,
I am updating the push rod set up on my old Sniper, in the picture below what type of rod and ball links did you use in the new Sniper?
Thanks,
Mike

That particular Ball Link came from a Hyperion kit.
However, I would (and will) use a Dubro 2-56 Swivel Ball Link (Part No. DUB367).
The control rod length is short enough to use 2-56, but a 4-40 may be substituded if desired.

The ARC 36-75-1t (1680 kv) on 8s in the 9305 pulls about 110a at about 3.2kw. The fan/motor combo is great for 8s, but you are right, it`s a lot of amps. If I went with 8s on this jet, I`d go with larger packs than 5000mah. The weight would work out about the same.

Personally I`d go with a 12s system because it would match the lipos that I have.
