Plastic?

I do have the spare plastic piece that I can send you so that you’re not grounded if you like? You could tape it to the outside of the plane in the meantime or like Clay says fly with cool batteries.

Done it all
Vic, 4 3/8 on the CG and I still have some elevator left to adjust, so I'll do it.

Ralph thanks, I may take you up on the offer, let me think this out for a few days and see if I can order a complete unit.

Still Flying Strong!!! Have 12 flights on the Sniper now. 6:30 minute flights, 3500 Watts on average, ESC temp around 150 average, max amps 95. Next couple of flights I am going to place a GPS in it and see what some of the flat passes are.

Sitting Pretty

Mike,

It's just sitting here looking pretty. I got the Legs on it, Flaps and Alierons have been re-hinged, I just need to Hinge the Elevators, connect all the pushrods and the hardest part for me Pull-Pull steering (I hate it, got so used to direct servo linkage). I got to take the kids to the movies tonight (Midnight show of Batman) so I will see how I feel tomorrow. I will let you know where I am by Saturday.
I took it outside to take some pictures of it right now but it's kind of dark outside and they came out half right.

Ralph

Ace or Corsairnut

What size hyperion servo is recomended for the ailerons?(I could only see the rudder and elevator in the thread)Would a DH 16 FMD fit,or be overkill?
Thanks

Congrats Vengame! Very nice flight and video! You kepted it nice and light w/ that 6s set-up. How long is your runway? You didn't have a lot of extra room to play with. Its nice to see this work off of a grass runway. Congrats again.

The Hyperion 16 servos are too big... I recommend the DS13-TMB's for Flaps/Ailerons.

The low wing loading makes it easier to fly and land. Glad to see it can easily fly on a light setup.
I might just cancel my hk viper plans and sqve the stumqx for this model and use a cs12 in the viper..

No "official" updates.
I can ask Robert and see if he's heard anything from the factory.
I won't even bother listing my opinion on the matter.

In other news, I'm glad to see some more Snipers getting in the air and flying well!!!

Vic
