That's what i thought but .....
My concern is that they are made for a speed boat not for a heavy boat
like this and i think that the motors are going to get very hot with those
big props. But it's not my boat i'm just doing what the boss wants.

Depends on how many cells too Paul. The 1500kv is a bit high for higher voltages above 3s but 2s might be ok although it doesn't look like you have any gear reduction so possibly in the 11,000 rpm area direct drive. Those ESC's are going to get warm too!

Interesting power addition...I'll be watching.

Those motors are not for that boat you are asking for trouble using them .

I think one of the reasons that this set up is not so good is because he
will never be able to run this boat very slow on the pond between other boats
the water cooled esc and motors will never pick up enough water at
slow speed to keep them cool. At a constant high speed like when you're
racing the water is forced through the system fast but not the way we run
boats in our pond.

We all know this Louie but this is some setup. It should have the cruising speed of a bottle rocket.

Hi James,it will be fun to see you run the Donzi. Good luck with it!

Have to agree with you on that one. Definitely should have talked to some of the guys on here before making that purchase. Probably much better off with a pair of graupner 700's. We will see once the boat hits the water!

You could also install electric water pumps if necessary. Just have them run all the time on their set voltage.

These motors where meant for speed and only speed Paul is right they will never get cool at low speed they need to breath or be cooled you will either kill the motors or the esc and without gearing them they will definitely run hot .

Paul what ever you do if you install them make sure they can be takin out because he will need to replace them at some point .

I understand James is looking for speed but this is not the set up for this boat .

Can you run a water pump on a lipo battery ?
Water pumps that i use run on 6-12 v
I was olso wondering if i need capacitors on the motors ?

I am going to leave the connection of the motors to the esc for his
father they olso don't have any instructions. Can't make a mistake
with the center wire but the other 2 wires on the motors are both black.

As long as the lipo battery is no more then 12 voilts it should be ok if not it will fry the pump should run a separate battery

LiPo, NiCd, NiMh, Alkaline, Carbon Zinc. Makes no difference. Just keep the voltage within the specified range of what the motor requires.

As for noise capacitors, if the radio system is on 2.4Ghz then no, they won't be needed.
