It’s a sport. I get plenty of exercise with all the hiking around the hills and the occasional rock climbing / abseiling, while looking for lost gliders (or wreckage).

I must be an exception to the rule. Perhaps some higher being thinks that I need the exercise, so interferes with my superb piloting skills

Steve,
For some reason it says sporting license. I think Sport is a poor definition of a lot of activities. Some get labeled mind sports buy that is no good here either.

Johno,
Yes, while flying you get the opportunity to engage in some sporting activities such as buskwalking, hiking, mountian climbing, orienterring etc. I do all those while taking photos, does make photography a sport?

Matin,
So glad you worked that out.

Hmmm, killing people with a MQ-1 Predator must be a sport even though its not very sporting.

Neither the less, aero modelling is internationally recognized as a sport with it's own sporting codes administered by the F.A.I . It like Fishing which is recognized as sport . Flying slope is probably the best example of considering what we do flying from Mountain tops, but the sports comes into from the competition scene such as F4C ,F3F,F3B so on and so forth so a sport it is

You need to be a good sport to crash a model and not cry.
I havnt cried yet so I must be good at sports. It's simple logic.

If you follow Matin's logic Mams is a fantastic pilot although I have seen him walking up and down hills.

What is everyone doing for night flyers this year? I don't think my easy star can handle a third campaign.

I am planning to resurrect the Hobby King AXN Floater-Jet…with luck. It could be a bit of a job

I have to get mine out of the shed and see if it works.

I think it is a bit nose heavy with half a roll of tape on it.
