good stuff Andrew,

they look like the long wing version although it was many moons ago....do they have the mid wing pop out brakes?

I remember the dual seating was staggered and we use to bolt in four iron bars when solo....they also spun beautifully but otherwise flew like a truck and had a glide ratio of a brick s*house....great memories.

would be wrapped in seeing a scale model.

Barry,
They are both 1/5th scale Shortwing Kookas with a 1 piece wing. Orange one (mine) has double vane airbrakes (hand made) about 1/3rd out and the yellow one has single front hinged brakes on the top of the wing only (as per plan if I remember correctly).
The real Kooka might have a bad glide ratio but believe me, in the hands of a world glider champion it can out perform a glass fantastic but these scale gliders are just slow fantastic models to fly.

Not sure I can bring much of the stuff I'm building but I do have a new all molded carbon Scirocco thanks to Ward Hagaman's beautiful design and hard work. I even finally bit the bullet and picked up a barely used Tracer thanks to Phil Davy.

Jim and the rest of you guys, you're really making some beautiful planes and I can't wait to see them high over Mt Borah.

Andrew,
yes the original had the double brakes top and bottom, would have been a job with them I would have thought, well done.
Did not realise there were plans...might look into that for nostalgic reasons.

Jimbello...Jim,that will be one horny ship.

Pismo...how about extending your stay to make up for missing the last one he he
need to pay you back for coming over to live at your place for 6 months in the near future....just joking Jim.
Don't forget to snag Dan too for next year...although I will only stay with hin 3 months.

Andrew

There was a guy there with a Tiggy this year.
The Stearman should drag it up for you.
I will hold the string on the stearman end if you like
