If a member ask for help part of what the Forums are good for is people offering stuff that they have tried so you don't have to make the mistakes that we did. People posting information about stuff they have never used is what drives me crazy!

Dedfish,

Here are the lights I use for orientation.

http://www.rcdude.com/servlet/the-96...t-Ultra/Detail

They are 5V and draw power from your RX. I put them both in front and rotate the machine till the come into view. Two draw about 300 mW I believe. You can purchase an electronic switch if you want of course. I eventually did. I don't remember the model.. But you don't really need it.

The truth of the matter is: people that have nothing in their bios are the smart ones. Just like the worst dressers are the people with the most money. This is not the place to post a list of lifetime achievements. If it was, the crude guy nicnamed Scalefan would blow you away. So would Mike Freas, the guy you lectured in a post above.
When I said "bios", I meant the small amount of information that you share in the "about" section of your personal page or blog.
From yours I can see:
How long you've been on RCG
Your outlook on life
Location
Interests
Occupation
Your real name (or current alias)
That's all I meant.
Have you already divulged too much to us about SCALEFAN?
And, since you said it, because you've shared that much about yourself, where does that put you on the smartness scale?

Done it all
However, do you know if it's all real? LOL I might be 14 years old and pulling your leg. Like some people say " the older you get, the younger you get" I might be living proof of that.

And yes my wife's name is Estelle and she is the opposite of the perfect RC wife. However, I don't have to sneak a new toy into the garage because she knows that it will keep me busy and out of her hair. There is something good to be said for that.

You really are a smart man! I too am learning how to be just annoying enough she wants me to work on my multi and stay out of her hair and not TOO annoying she wants me gone and out of her life.

It's a slippery slope sometimes.

Wives

I was married for 31 years.
I'm divorced now.
Nothing against wives, but the best wife is no wife!
All the make-up, clothing & shoes, extra car, hairdresser, etc. money is now RC money...
Enough said?

I said that after my divorce... hell I told my current wife I'd never marry or have kids again. 2 year anniversary is in July and baby will be 9moths old here in a few days.

Damn women and their witchcraft!

I managed nearly 24 years. Lost my house in the process (it was that or 50% of my pension fund), so I couldn't really recommend it from a financial point of view! Got to keep my old Mercedes SL though

Been remarried 6 years now, with a 5 year old son

You sometimes get trapped there.
You can pay a third of the camera's cost for a decent SD card...
