Sagitta 900 $200+ yet again on ebay ... does anyone offer a short kit or clone?

That is it!

Tired of following these Sagitta's to over $200+ ,.. doesn't someone offer a 'short' kit?

Dang!

If the current owners of the design would just offer say a few hundred kits, I would buy 2 for $150 or less!

Hear that Chinese knock off companies?! That is wrong of course but my back space key is stuck at the moment.

Such a high performance design, yet you can't have it unless you want to spend a couple of Franklin's for it

It's a short kit without plans....you hafta get them somewhere too. I agree with the OP...someone has the rights to the sagitta kits, and IMHO if they aren't going to make it available themselves, they should let somebody else do it.

Aerosphere is the company that has all the rights to all the old Airtronics Gliders. Their site is down for maint. untill after the new year. Their web site is www.aerosphereonline.com/. And they have all the plans also. They bought out dreamcatcher but never got more than a few Oly 650 and a Q-tee kits made. Very disappointing company.

I have bought several plans from them over the years as have others here and I have always been very happy with their quick service.

Yes, it's a shame that Aerosphere hasn't made the kits available but the fact that the "SHOP" portion of the site is under construction instead of the whole site just going down permanantly gives me some hope and tells me that something is going on. I hope with the revamping of the website, they make at least some of the kits available.

$200.00 could be considered a bargain now a days.

Also, I hear tell a rumor that someone is considering kitting a 3m version.

WOW, I purchased a Sagitta 900 for $200 here on RC Groups last Dec. I then ordered a Sealy Fiberglass fuse for about $40. To see that the full kit goes for over $300 is crazy! I wish all my investments performed so well!

Ya, just imagine if one bought several pounds of Gold back in the 70's!

BTW: Bob Sealy is still active and especially responsive then?

Kurt, did you get the fuse from Sealy himself? I ordered a Sagitta XC fuze from him about 9 months ago, was told I'd have it in a couple of weeks, still waiting

I'd suggest you pick up the phone and give him a call. I'm sure he will make good on it. I have a set of plans for the Sagitta XC and can sure use the glass fuse to shorten the build time.

All the best.

I'll give that a shot. I picked up a really nice set of wings and stabs from a guy at a club swap meet, and I have a set of bagged stabs from JT, if I had a fuse, I'd be all set, and I haven't had the time or space to build one up from the plans... would like to get it built so I can take an old school shot at my LSF 10K cross country.
