In Aus, we have to get these inspected prior to flight by registered MAAA miniture gas turbine inspectors to be able to fly at our clubs to be covered by insurance.
Just love the smell of kerosine and sound these things make even just spooling it up and taxie it up and down the runway is adrenalin enough for me.

Mind you the right EDF will outperform a Turbine, I am told.
There coming out with the 12kilo first. Thats ok with me. Ill get that one for sure. I probley wont buy the smaller one that will replace the 90mm EDF.

As for an EDF out performing a turbine? Not likely. It may be very close in the 90mm range, but the electric would only have a max 2min flight time and buy the time you add up all the HIGH END stuff, you could probley have bought a turbine like the JetJoe.($1400) Its junk, but they do work from time to time. And if you wait for HK to release there turbine.. that would run you about $700. Not to mention for that price you get the Sound, the Smell and a real turbine!..OH YEAH!!

Personally I disagree.. by the time you put the high tech stuff in the electric you got top of the range performance. .while you can buy that JJ turbine and have a crap of a turbine.
it's different.
well you can see for example the panther with the 110-52 stumax fan in there. not a bullet because that's the panther how its supposed to be. a turbine would cost 3 times the price of the electric and there is no significant power difference.

see billys JTM t-45 reaching 165 on a split s and 150 on level pass. I don't think tht the P20 in that plane would outprform it and the flying times are around 3 minutes.
you can also do the same search when they convert flyfly foamies to turbines. nothing to gain but the sound and the smell of kerosine

Ofcourse we are talking always for planes that are built to be electric.

Just my opinion

You are correct, They are not full moving.
On another note, Mine still hasn't left HK. Probably on the same JIT truck as Trevor's. I should use this time to get some other planes finished.
