New ECOMRC Pilatus PC-21 from TBM

Well TBM just made my decision for my next plane a little harder. I was goning to do a CMP T-45 until I saw this. They just put this very nice looking PC-21 up on their site. Itís the perfect size too, 55" wing span and 64" long. I always wanted to try the KMP one but could not justify the cost, especially with the scale retracts, but this one is perfect at $200. I also went over to ECOM's website and there will be scale electric retracts available as well. Iíll probably do a high power 12s setup for a little speed, should be fun. It comes out in April. Two color schemes available as well.

Just gave in and put this baby on back order! I'm going to use a Emax motor on 6s most likely and try to use Eflite 60 size electric retracts. Can't wait til June

Am I right when I say that this baby is exacly as scale as the bigger esm one? I heard that the ecomrc planes come from the same factory as the esm planes. If that's so, I guess I'll preorder one too... I've always wanted a pc21, but I was a bit afraid of the costs of the big esm one.

I preordered mine too, even with the scale retracts.
Mustangace, did you make more concrete plans about your power system? I'll probably build a Scorpion 4025-10 with a 14x7 and 6s in mine.
Is there anyone out there who already made up his mind about the power system?

sfluck, I'm going to try the Emax 4030-500 on 6s that I've never used yet if i get this model, I'm working on a few different jet ideas so this may be on an extended back burner.

Apparently the EcomRC planes arrived at TBM! Did anyone already receive his PC-21?

hey guys.
any idea where we can get the retracts from? do you know if it has flaps?
Sep 27, 2012, 12:44 PM
I think there are no flaps on this pc-21, at least I didn't find any in the manual. It wouldn't be too hard to make them, just cut the ailerons in half.
About the retract, I don't know, I'd ask TBM or I know that r2f will be providing the scale retract with some delay because of some design adjustments.

in switzerland the pc-21 will have a delay it should arrive in November.

What I am curious about is that TBM already shows "in stock"... but noone in the entire forum has one?
