When I've been editing the site, I saw a box for meta something, but don't know how to use it. Hmmm, more Google time. We got a come-on from a company wanting to improve our search engine hits for 80 bucks - I think it's in the circular file.

Any suggestions on what tags to use?

Any information on how to get them associated with the site?

Remember we are all new to this. We can use all the free help we can get.

I know you can pay Google and other search engines to get your site up front, but it gets expensive. I also know if you get a ton of views on an image, or page, that too helps get it towards the top. But there are way smater people than me at Web page dsign, IT, and all the rest. Very interesting and what the cure is would be interesting. Maybe if we all need to search for the web page 20 times each, per day, to help, let us know!

Search Optimization is part science, part art. As long as you are at the top all is good If there are no paid spots for the search, you are the top. I would shoot for optimizing for Google. It's well known that bing scrubs Google for searches. Not sure about the relevance of Yahoo anymore.
Google also uses the first couple of lines of your site as part of the search. You have the title as text ( as opposed to graphics) which is good.

I also took a look at your meta data. You may want to add a few key words such as airplane, radio, control, radio control, etc. I did a search on "model airplane foam" and your site didn't come up. Modified it to the exact title (As shown in the meta title) and it was the first hit. The idea is to add as many relevant keywords that you think others may search for (including common misspellings). It's that part art, part science part

<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
<title>Model Plane Foam :: Home</title>
<meta name="description" content="" />
<meta name="generator" content="concrete5 - 5.5.1" />

This link may be helpful :

I just did a quick search on search engines... Looks like Google is the one to shoot for:

I suspect that all the traffic on this and the other threads mentioning mpf is helping us, I know that i frequently get rcg threads coming up when I google some topic (relating to planes, of course).

I'll read the link and see if it's in one of the languages that I know!

So, some possible "meta terms" might be:

modelplane foam
plane foam
model foam
model plain foam
Modle plane foam
Foam sheet
Sheet foam

Do I have the idea? Do others have more suggested "Meta terms" for Model Plane Foam
