MPF-Seconds

If you go to website main page look for the "limited offer" link in the upper right. It's not very prominant, so here is a direct link to the Model Plane Foam Seconds

This is a great deal for low cost foam. 16 sheets for $25 plus $15 shiping to the US48. We do not expect to have this on a continuing basis. When it's gone it's gone.

In sorting and reboxing, I measured a bunch of sheets and they seemed pretty consistently between 5.5 and 6mm with only local areas outside that. Adams is working on improving thickness consistency for other uses, so we hope to benefit from that work as well. As you might know, thickness control at the level we like was below the requirements of the major users for fanfold.
OK, thanks. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see how the next batch turns out. If they can get tolerances within a few 10ths of a mm, then this stuff should be OK for my kits. And also looking forward to see if you can get it in 3mm. Not only do I do a lot of kits in 3mm, but a lot of guys use it to "skin" built up models as well.

If this stuff came in 2mm, 3mm, and the 5.5/6mm that exists now, the United States and it's neighbors (Wilfor) would never need to use Depron again! That is if MPF and Adams could keep up with the demand.

Not at the moment, but once we get the current product and marketing stabilized, we'll be talking to Adams. Gotta remember we've only had one shipment so far!

Yeah, thinner stuff would sell pretty fast. I'd use it for 3D stuff myself because I can build planes using all kindsa techniques for flattening the panels. Adams is less brittle than Depron in the first place, so it doesn't need the kind of protection from impact that Depron requires. A little bracing here and there and some CF strips in curved tension and the Adams in 3mm would make great 3d!

I did a browser search for model plane foam and my search turned up no results for your website. you guys might want to use some meta tags so people looking for foam can find your web site.
