Heavy Lift Quad Copter
I am new here, if I am posting this in the correct place, please let me know and I will repost. I wish to build from scratch at least partially a Heavy Lift Quad coaxial copter. I saw the following video:
This is something that I wish to build. The question I have is this:
Based on what you are seeing on the video, what do you think the size of the frame is, and the approx engine size or make? I know that this may be asking too much just by looking at a video, but this is almost exactly what I would like to build. It looks like this person custom made the frame. However if there is a ready made frame of this size, I would consider a purchase of the frame vs building it out from scratch, I am not sure why he used metal, I would assume that CF is lighter. Maybe for vibration reasons.
Any help or input would be appreciated if I could be steered in the right direction, but this is definitely the size I want. This person does give the prop size below his video I think.
I want my copter to have the following features (I know that there are all kinds of brands)
1 Gyro stabalization
In other words since that there are so many sources I do not know where to go for all the electronics. There seems to be a German/Dutch company that makes the gear but not sure about how they fair up.
Any assistance Greatly appreciated.
